Truly Trusting

“For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” — 1 John 2:16–17

Inspiration

True trust in God means placing your confidence in what is eternal, not what is temporary. The world offers many distractions that promise satisfaction but fade quickly. When you build your trust on God’s unchanging Word, you stand on a foundation that will never crumble. Trusting Him fully frees your heart from fear and anchors your soul in peace.

Where are you tempted to place your trust in temporary things instead of in God?

Lord, help me to truly trust You above all else. Teach me to hold tightly to Your promises and to live with eternity in view. Amen.
