Third Sunday in Lent

Scripture

“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.”
— John 4:14

Devotional

At the well, Jesus met a woman who came thirsty — not just for water, but for meaning, belonging, and hope.

He offered her something deeper: Living Water.

We often try to satisfy our spiritual thirst with temporary things — success, approval, distraction. But they never fully quench. Lent gently exposes what we are reaching for and invites us to return to the only source that truly satisfies.

Living Water does not simply refresh — it renews.
It does not just hydrate — it transforms.

Christ meets us at our wells — in ordinary places, in private struggles — and offers eternal life.

Reflection

What am I turning to for satisfaction that leaves me thirsty again?
Have I truly invited Christ to fill the deeper places of my heart?

Prayer

Jesus, You are the Living Water.
Wash away my striving.
Fill the empty places within me.
Teach me to draw from You daily.
Amen.
